Drift Tour Japan (“DTJ”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates drifttourjapan.au and provides drift-day rentals and drift tours in Japan in partnership with Rayin Motorsports. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).

1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us when you submit a booking request, contact us, or sign up for updates, including:

  • Name, email address and phone number;
  • Booking details such as preferred dates, package, group size and notes;
  • Driving experience and any health, safety or accessibility information you choose to share for track activities;
  • Payment-related details where you choose to pay (processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers);
  • Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and basic analytics about how you use the site.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries and process and confirm your booking;
  • To arrange circuit time, instructors, transport, accommodation and insurance for your experience;
  • To take payment and issue receipts where applicable;
  • To send you booking-related communications and, with your consent, marketing updates (which you can opt out of at any time);
  • To meet our legal, safety and insurance obligations.

3. Disclosure to third parties

To deliver your experience we may share necessary information with trusted partners, including Rayin Motorsports, circuits and instructors in Japan, accommodation and transport providers, our payment processor (Square), and service providers who host our website and data (such as Supabase and Vercel). We require these parties to protect your information and use it only for the agreed purpose. Some providers may store data overseas (including in Japan, the United States and the EU).

4. Payments

Where you choose to pay online, payments are processed securely by Square. Your card details are handled by Square in accordance with their privacy and PCI-DSS obligations and are not stored on our servers.

5. Cookies & analytics

Our site uses minimal cookies and may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic and improve the experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as intended if you do.

6. Data security & retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal, accounting and insurance requirements, then securely delete or de-identify it.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to stop sending marketing communications. To do so, contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Personal Information Protection Commission (PPC) of Japan.

8. Children

Our services are intended for adults. Minors may only participate with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who must complete the relevant booking and waiver documents.
